Firma Skin: Best Sellers of Firma Skin's Skincare Products [Sponsored Review]

I'm back with another Firma Skin review to end off my collaboration with them.
For this post, I'll be focusing on their skincare product range.

Firma Skin uses their own product range for their facial services too, and I have always been curious about them. It's been a pleasure collaborating with them, and as always, I will hold true to my experiences for my review. So without further ado, keep on reading for my verdict!

Brightening Enzyme Wash

Gentle enough for daily use, this wash contains Papaya Enzyme and Coenzyme Q10 to help unclog pores and remove dead skin cells. Alternate it with your regular cleanser for a softer, brighter and glowing complexion.

To Use:

Disperse a small amount onto wet hands. Lather and apply over dampened face and neck avoiding the eye area. Massage gently, rinse with warm water and pat dry.

Texture: Powder that foams up once it comes into contact with water

Smell: Light floral scent, pleasant scent

Ingredients:
Papain, Ascorbic Acid, Betaine, Arbutin

Cost: $30

Product Rating: 6/10
As a cleanser, this does its job but I would not rave over it. I didn't notice much improvement in terms of unclogging my pores or removing dead skin cells.

I use this as a general cleanser for night time as a double cleanse after removing my makeup. I like the scent of it and the fun I have each time I work the powder into a foam.

I find that it does leave my skin feeling slightly dry after use.

Vitamin B5 Serum

Enriched with Vitamin B5 known to help tissue repair, this fast absorbing, oil and dye free, non-fragranced serum contains Hyaluronic Acid and Snail Secretion Filtrate to moisturise and replenish nutrients the skin needs to feel smooth and appear younger.

To Use:
Gently massage 2-3 pumps with circular motion onto the face, neck and chest in the morning and evening after cleansing and toning.

Texture: thick serum consistency

Smell: almost scent-free, because if I smell hard enough, it seems to have a faint floral scent

Ingredients:
Hyaluronic Acid, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Panthenol, Ethyl Ascorbyl Ether

Cost: $ 60.00

Product Rating: 10/10
My favorite product out of the entire range, I like how it doesn't have any scent and how it doesn't seem to leave my skin feeling sticky or heavy after use.

I like how it feels like it helps to rehydrate my skin and how fast my skin absorbs this serum after spreading it out.

Skin Energising Cream

Left: Serum, Right: Cream after spreading them out.
This cream rejuvenates and energises dull and tired skin. Enriched with Vitamin C and Coenzyme Q10, these powerful antioxidants strengthen skin and help it regain its natural radiance and luminosity.

To Use:
Gently massage 1-2 pumps with circular motion onto face and neck avoiding the eye area in the morning and evening after cleansing and toning.

Texture: Cream consistency

Smell: Almost scent-free, it has that typical cream smell to it with a faint hint of sourness.

Ingredients:
Ethyl Ascorbyl Ether, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Niacinamide, Ubiquinone
Cost: $ 62.00

Product Rating: 7/10
I'm not a fan of how this cream feels like on my skin, I find that it leaves a sticky and slight heavy sensation on my skin. I concur that it might be too rich for my skin type for the day. I use it for night time now and noticed that I do have a few breakouts from time to time with the use of this cream.

However, I cannot deny that it does help to keep my skin moisturized and does seem to help repair my skin after my sunburn period.

Daily Sun Protection SPF100++ Broad Spectrum

More than sun protection, this ultra light, fast absorbing sunblock has added powerful antioxidants to help defend skin cells. Its breakthrough technology shields against UVA and UVB rays with SPF100++ broad spectrum and protects your skin even at the cellular level.

To Use:
Generously apply to the face and neck 30 minutes before exposure to the sun after cleansing and toning daily. For prolonged exposure, it is advisable to re-apply the product every 1 to 2 hours.

Texture: Cream consistency with a white hue

Smell: cream scent with a faint scent of what I assume to be, green tea

Ingredients:
Titanium Dioxide, Tocopheryl Acetate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract
Cost: $ 60.00

Product Rating: 8/10
I like the fact that this sunscreen is made with Titanium Dioxide, making it a physical/mineral sunscreen rather than a chemical based.

However, that means that this sunscreen will leave the skin looking oddly pale due to the whitish hue that physical sunscreen has. This is actually a "good" factor because it goes to show that the Titanium Dioxide used is in non-nano particle (Titanium Dioxide in nano-particle form can penetrate the skin, which is not something that you want). So in a way, that white film you see is what is coating your skin and reflecting the harmful rays of the sun. So big points are given for that fact alone.
As for the sensation of the product on the skin, that's where points are lost. I can't stand the heaviness/ sticky sensation this sunscreen leaves on my face. It makes it hard for makeup to stay on too because of its creamy texture. At the moment, I combat that by powdering my face with a light loose powder after.

Ultimately, as a sunscreen, I believe this product does its job well in sun protection coverage which is why I am still using it. A note to users is to note that SPF 100 does not mean that re-application is not needed. Click here to read more about what to avoid in sunscreen products.

Firma Skin: Tri-NewGen Radio Frequency(RF) Treatment [Ambassador Review]

Hi ladies & guys!
I hope that you have seen my video on my thoughts on Firma Skin and their treatment, especially on their AirNutrients technology that applies the Bird's Nest essence! I also like that they use microdermabrasion in one of their facial steps, I like how it instantly brightens up my skin!

But I have already written a post on these steps in my very first review post on Firma skin (you may read about it here), so I won't be covering on those steps... Instead, I would like to share with you my experiences with their Radio Frequency treatment that is said to help relieve tired eyes, black circles, puffiness, and wrinkles.

STEPS

Machine for the RF Treatment

  1. Cleansing
This step starts off with makeup removal using a cotton pad soaked with makeup remover, followed by a cleanse with Firma Skin's Enzyme wash.
  2. Microdermabrasion
After cleansing, Beta-HD serum which contains fruit acids and herbal extracts (for control sebum secretion and prevent pimples) are applied to my skin, for the microdermabrasion. This makes the microdermabrasion process more effective. Personally, I find that my skin is brighter and more radiant after this step.
  3. Cool Hammer Massage
After microdemabrasion, my therapist proceed with a soothing cold massage with the use of a cool hammer and some soothing gel. This is one of my favourite step because it not only soothes me to sleep but also helps to calm my skin down and gives my face a temporary tighten effect (Hello~ Sharp V Face).

  4. Tri-NewGen Radio Frequency(RF) Treatment (15 minutes)
After the massage, it was followed by the RF treatment that helps to prevent tired-looking eyes.

  5. Mask Time
This time round, I had a Tea Tree Mask on to help decongest and detoxify skin. This treatment targets blemishes and supports skin healing, so that skin evolves to be softer and smoother. At Firma Skin, the type of mask used is generally dependent on the type of treatment you are doing and your skin condition.

  6. AirNutrients Serum
After the mask was removed and my skin was cleansed, a mist of Bird’s Nest Micro-Essence and AteloCollagen serum was sprayed onto my face before the application of Firma Skin's B5 serum and sunblock.
VERDICT

Duration: 55 mins, including 15 mins of the RF treatment.

Overall Ambiance: Very neat and simple with individual cabin room.

Cost: $120 (For the entire facial experience)

Effectiveness:I've written my verdict on the entire process before, so I'm just going to focus solely on the RF treatment. It was quite a soothing treatment, I dozed off a little midway... facial massages always make me sleepy.

Did it help to make my tired eyes look less tired? Honestly, even as their ambassador, I've got to say... not really. The difference before and after were quite hard to spot. However, if you take a closer look at the result, you will notice a slight reduction in the severity of my eye bag... even though my dark circles are still quite obvious. Haha! #chronicpandaeye
Before: my under eye area looks puffy. After: Puffiness appears to be "flatten" out.

However, despite the appearance, the eye massage did left my eyes feeling quite refreshed and less tensed. And while I did not have an obvious result, I also know that it is dependent on individual's genetics and condition. My dark circles and eye bags runs in the family, and with my vampire/ night owl lifestyle, I would probably need more session to see a more significant improvement.

The reason why I decided to accept being their ambassador is because I really love how effective and fuss free their services are... I mean, it's hard not to love them when I always end up with clear radiant skin for days after a facial at Firma Skin.

Firma Skin: Deep Cleanse & Revitalize Treatment [Sponsored Review]

A while ago, I had a very interesting facial experience at Empire with Firma Skin.
Yup, you read it right~ A facial at a lounge.

Known for their Perk-Me-Up facials that are designed to give customers skin that glows with radiance to feel confident and look beautiful, Firma Skin offers 7 different facial treatments that can be personalised to suit individual skin needs. All session includes an infusion of their signature AirNutrients- a superfine mist of Bird's Nest Micro-Essence and AteloCollagen.

Fast forward a few months and I'm back getting a facial done with them.
This time round, I did my facial at their studio.

To be honest, the steps taken for the treatment are the same and the only difference is the ambiance.
I personally prefer getting my facial done in the studio, naturally~ Haha! But having it done at Empire was an experience.

So without further ado, here's the sequence of the treatment:

STEPS

1) Cleanse
The treatment starts off by removing my makeup with a soak cotton pad over my eyes, followed by a double cleanse with Firma Skin's very own products.

2) Microdermabrasion & Comedone Extraction
For those who are unaware, microdermabrasion is a non-chemical, non-invasive procedure that uses a spray of microcrystals to remove the outermost layer of dry dead skin cells. And by doing so, it encourages the production of a new underlying layer of skin cells with higher levels of collagen and elastin that improves the skin’s appearance.

This step also includes extractions with a ultrasonic spatula that creates 28, 000 ultrasound vibration per second!

3) Mask Away
After extraction, it was time to calm the skin down with a cold hydrating gel mask that has chamomile scent floral scent (love the smell of it) and this step was accompanied with the use of a cold hammer that emitted a blue light that helps to kill bacteria, reduce redness and aid in the penetration of the mask into skin.

This was then followed up with another cold leave on mask that was peeled away after it hardens.

4) AirNutrients Serum
Last but not least, after the mask was removed and my skin was cleansed, a mist of Bird’s Nest Micro-Essence and AteloCollagen serum was practically sprayed onto my face.

VERDICT

Duration: 40 mins, including registration.

Overall Ambiance: Very neat and simple with individual cabin room.

Cost: $120

Effectiveness:
I've done a range of facial treatments as a beauty blogger, and I thought that I'd seen and experienced everything... until I did my facial at Firma Skin. Their use of the Ultrasonic Spatula for extraction and the AirNutrients™ technology to apply their Bird’s Nest Micro-Essence and AteloCollagen serum onto clients' skin are just brilliant!

Look at all the gunk!
In fact, this is the least painful extraction I have experienced up-to-date and it's great that because of the way extraction was done, there was a minimal downtime period. I had a few spots of redness that lasted only for the night.

And as always, I love the way my skin is for the next few days after Firma Skin's treatment. I had skin that looks radiant, felt smooth and hydrated.
Firma Skin deliver fast, quick, painless and effective results.
