Idonae: Skin Rich Serum [Sponsored Review]

6 months ago, I was requested to do a skincare product review on Idonae's Skin Rich Serum after the product has received many positive feedbacks from friends, family and colleagues. I'm glad to say that after trying the products for 6 months, I can safely say that I agree with the countless people who praised this product too!

Note: packaging has changed ever since I started using this product!

About Idonae

A brand not commonly heard, their skincare products are formulated and made in Singapore, without chemicals that could potentially contribute to skin irritation or organ toxicity. The makers of Idonae wanted to create products that enhance our skin health in the long run, and for the good the ingredients will do for our skin!

Idonae's Social Commitment

For every bottle of Serum sold, S$2 will be donated to charities to enhance the quality of life for persons with disabilities and needy families. Idonae strives to maintain a fair distribution policy by allocating resources based on the source of purchase, whenever possible. Or they may direct the donation to an international welfare organisation for their management.

Skin Rich Serum

This serum is created to nourish the skin with natural plant oils, whitening and collagen-stimulating ingredients, to give it a beautiful and smooth texture on the next day.

Texture: Oil based, absorbed into the skin relatively easily with a thinly veiled layer of the product to protect the skin

Smell: Scent of essential oil, to my nose, it smells like orange peel.

Benefits:

  • Squalane- lock in moisture and hydrates skin; non-comodegenic and protects skin from environment
  • Evening Primrose Oil-  high in essential fatty acids and reduces skin irritation
  • Rice Bran Oil- deeply moisturises skin; helps to alleviate skin rash
  • Rosehip Oil- reduces fine lines and wrinkles
  • Grape Seed Oil- promotes healthy skin and hair
  • Coenzyme Q10- powerful anti-aging ingredients
  • Undecylenoyl Phenylalanine- lightens brown spots and helps even out skin tone
  • Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline- anti-wrinkle and firming agent; stimulates synthesis of collagen fibers and inhibits free radicals
  • Forrmulated without parabens, sulfates, alcohol, silicones, phthalates, artificial colours, synthetic fragrances, mineral oil, EDTA and animal ingredients

Product Rating: 9.5/10
I love it, having been a user of facial oils, I found it easy to use this product. For day time, I use 3 drops of the Skin Rich Serum by spreading the oil out in my palms and pressing it onto my skin, patting as I go about it. I love how this helps to make my foundation more blendable, and how it makes my skin looks more radiant!

For night time, I use 5 drops of it and apply it the same way as I do for the day but focusing more on areas with freckles. I love how obvious the results are each morning, with my skin looking much calmer than the night before, and how plumped and well-rested I look like after using it.

As for long-term results, after using this for 6 months, I noticed that my skin is less prone to being sensitive to environmental factors (I work in an environment that can be dusty & humid), is more plumped, and my skin tone has been pretty consistent and even throughout.

As for the lightening of brown spots and freckles, I was expecting an obvious improvement, however, they still look the same 6 months ago. That being said, considering the fact that I'm under the sun quite frequently due to my job scope and being a mermaid... The fact that the pigmentations I have, have remained consistent in colour (not getting any lighter or darker), it could be that the product has been working, fighting to prevent my freckles from getting worse too.
