Palladio: Rice Paper Blotting Tissues

I'm so sorry for the lack of post, I've been really busy with work but I'm back with another review for Palladio with their popular Rice Paper Blotting Tissues!

Palladio Rice Paper Blotting Tissues help eliminate shine and leave skin feeling and looking smoother. These unique tissues are made from natural rice and perfect for touch-ups throughout the day. Use the matte side to blot away shine and the powdered side for touch-ups. Packaged in a handy component, these tissues will fit inside even in the smallest purse or pocket, so you’ll never have to leave home without them!

To Use:
Use the matte side to blot away shine throughout the day and the powdered side for occasional touch-ups.For an extra matte finish (or if you tend to be more on the oilier side), Rice Paper is great to layer over Palladio Herbal Oil-Free Foundation or Palladio Dual Wet and Dry Foundation.

VERDICT

Product Rating: 7/10

I like how the powder is so fine that it doesn't cake up on my skin even after foundation. I use this as my "loose powder" to remove any shine I have from the foundation. I find that despite the shades available, it doesn't make much of a difference if you have an olive skin tone as the difference in shades isn't obvious!

My only concern for this product is that it has methylparaben in it which is used for its antifungal and preservative properties but it is after all still a paraben. I did a quick search and it seems that there are articles that state a small dose of it is considered safe.

Overall, I like this blotting paper as a quick and easy way to blot away the shine and keep my makeup matte!

Oh my~ look at all the lip products! This review collaboration got me really excited because I'm a #lipstickaddict and I really like matte lip products! When it comes to lipsticks, I usually look for a few things: Ingredients used, pigmentation, and finish.

Looking at the ingredients used in this product, I gave it some points for being free of the top harmful ingredients that are found in lipsticks but there is also the presence of some ingredients that I would like to caution against because it's not something that I would want to consume. So, if you are going to eat, I would suggest wiping off the product first.

For the pigmentation of this product, hands down 10/10! I love how rich all these shades are, I also found it easy to blend on my lips without it being patchy or streaky and a handful of the shades in this collection are to die for!

For the finish, it goes on very velvety and is a little glossy upon application, but it will dry off matte.

A tip is to swipe away most of the product first on the back of your hand before applying onto your lips and only picking up more when you need to, from the hand. I found that this makes the application much easier to control but on the whole, the doe tip applicator makes it easy for me to line and fill in my lips!

Overall, I like how smooth the application is, and how pigmented the shades are! Another tip I can offer is to apply a hydrating lip balm or a lip treatment on your lips for 5 minutes before removing it and applying this cream colour for a plumper voluminous lip because the ingredients in this product act like a seal over the lips for that velvet finish so if you have dry lips, your lips will look like a dried prune.

Out of all 12 shades, if I have to choose my favourite 3 it would be Tapestry for my classic vampy look, Boucle for everyday look, and Suede for events and party!
