I'm sure this brand needs no introduction, it has been raved by heaps of beauty bloggers in Singapore ever since it launched in Singapore. I personally have yet to try out their mud mask but the perks of being a beauty blogger sometimes is that we get to test out new products, and so~ I was gifted this Youthcleanse Daily Exfoliating Cleanser to test out!
So what is it all about?
It's a daily cleanser that turns from Mud to Foam, combining the power of mud and the performance of foam for an innovative cleansing experience. It comes out from the tube as a mud and turns into a gentle and effective foaming lather when it comes into contact with water, dissolving makeup and impurities while removing dead surface cells.
How To Use:
-Apply one to two pumps onto fingertips, applying gently over dry face.
-With remaining product left on hands, lightly add water to hands and vigorously rub together to start the foaming lather.
-Apply lather to face and lightly add more water in circular motions to increase foaming lather.
-Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
-Gently pat dry with towel.
-Use morning and/or night.
Precautions:
-Not to be used as a mask.
-Avoid contact with eyes. If product touches eye, rinse with water.
-For external use only.

I'm a fan of clay products because I like to see excess sebum being absorbed by the clay and I tend to find that it really helps to clear my skin after use. So this product was something that I had my eyes on. I use this cleanser in the morning and night, when I wake up and after removing my day's worth of makeup. I find that as a final cleansing routine, this product does really well at removing any leftover makeup. It does leave my skin feeling a little tight after use, but it doesn't have that squeaky clean feeling which I hate.
A quick check on the ingredients shows that it contains "Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate", which isn't as bad as SLS but bad enough and it is pretty high up the list... which explains how this product foams and why my skin feels a little tight after use. I guess this is the reason why this product should also not be left on your skin for too long like a mask. So, to be honest, the whole mud to foam property of this cleanser is a gimmick. And as a rule, I would recommend sticking to products that have a short and simple ingredient list.
Because of how short of a duration you leave this product on your face, I doubt that your skin would actually benefit much from the wholesome antioxidants and vitamins in this product. However, that being said, I can't deny that it works great as a daily exfoliator because it contains gentle beads and phytic acid to scrub away the dead skin cells.
