To be honest, I was only using this product for my cuticles, legs (after shaving) and my elbows. But I find this product totally lovely. It absorbs fast and well into the skin, leaving the areas smooth and soft. I did notice that this product works perfectly for Singapore's climate, if you are in other areas (like in Europe or colder drier climates), this is not rich enough.

I love love love that it is multi-functional and contains over 90% natural ingredients which is good, especially when it can also be used to relieve chapped lips.

It comes in a pretty tube packing which makes it hygienic and easy to use, and can be placed standing upright to get right down to the last bit of cream.

The only drawback I can think of is the cost for 30ml of product which can last between a period of 1 month to probably 6 (depends on your usage frequency), it can be rather pricey.

Daily Defense UV Protector SPF 50

I am quite amazed that this is one of the few sunscreen that I have tried that doesnt leave a very greasy-after feel. It blends quite nicely from white to nothing on the skin but it will be a little reflective (you may look pale in photos). 

Because it is quite lightweight, it works well as a base for makeup and it feels almost like nothing after application unless its humid then you might feel that layer that sunscreen always leave on the skin.

I love that it has high sun protection coverage and free of paraben and alcohol but its ingredients do bug me a little. This sunscreen consists of both physical and chemical filters, personally, I try to stick to physical (ie  minerals) or natural filters (eg coconut oil) because chemical filters may lead to some health concerns. I wrote about synthetic sunscreens here. 

However, that being said, it boils down to personal preference. I use this when I am going out for a short while and I will normally wash it off as soon as I get back because its sun protection coverage is too good to ignore and it does feel nice on the skin when it isn't overly humid. 

Multi Benefits Eye Treatment Gel

This gel-dispensing roller-ball twist-pen gently massages and moisturizes your undereye area, reducing the appearance of dark circles, fine lines and puffiness.

To be honest, I am not an eye product user yet... I know I should start caring for the areas around my eyes because it's the area where aging starts first! I have used an eye roller pen before but this one is a little unique. It has a dispensing roller-ball twist tip to prevent contamination and I find that a smart thing to consider especially for an eye product. 

Personally, I keep this in the fridge and use them when I need a quick wake-me-up! I have pretty bad dark circles and I do have chronic eye bags. Having tried others before, I know that the metal roller tip will definitely help to reduce some puffiness under the eye so it is no surprise when my puffiness were reduced after using this.

I have been very skeptical about eye product that claims to reduce the appearance of dark circles because most of the time, it works due to an ingredient that is reflective. Hence, creating the appearance of lighter dark circles because lights bounces off the reflective particles. I am glad to say that this product doesnt have any reflective ingredients (to the best of my knowledge) and relies solely on natural ingredients to help reduce the appearance of dark circle. It does work a little but it's not 100% which is good enough for me, I use makeup for perfection!

Today, I am going to do a review on 2 products of Crème Simon that I use when I need a little TLC and to destress.

Restorative Sleeping Mask

This mask's texture is pretty thick as a gel but it gets absorbed quickly and "dries" up after 10 mins. I have used this mask as a quick Emergency Moisturising Mask before I head off for events and I find that it helps to calm my skin and it makes makeup goes on smoothly.

There is no greasy-after feel and it does make my skin feel softer and supple. However, if you have sensitive skin, note that this mask may irritate your skin so do a small patch test before you apply thickly on your face!

Lymphatic Contouring And Lifting Gel

Detox, De-Stress, Define. Aid your natural detoxification as you redefine facial contours and flush out toxins in a relaxing treatment. This exceptional gel turns into oil as you gently massage it onto your face, and transforms to a milky texture at water's touch for a perfect rinse-off. I love this product! The innovation of this gel makes it such a fun product to use to destress and best of all, it makes my skin instantaneously smoother after use. It goes onto dry skin as a thick gel which turns into oil as you massage with this product and you may either simply wipe it off with a tissue or wash it off.

Personally, I prefer washing it off and the interesting thing about this product is that it turns milky once it comes into contact with water like a milk cleanser with no greasy-after feel. As for the detoxification result, to be honest, the results are hard to gauge and it varies based on how precise and diligent you are with the steps of Crème Simon Lymphatic Massage Method. I just like using this product because it has a calming effect and sometimes, it helps to unclog blackheads (hehe)!

A thing to note is to keep this product away from your eyes and as usual, if you have sensitive skin, do take extra care and do a patch test before using. Ingredients used do raise some possible irritation concerns.

All three products are quite similar, with the same scent but they vary in texture and effectiveness.

As you can see from the photo below, the night moisturiser is the "thickest" out of the three!

Dermo-Activ Floral Serum

I have been using this along with the day and night moisturisers for a  month now, and my skin does seem to be slightly more radiant. I love that this serum is light in texture and penetrates easily and quickly into my skin.

As far as the hydrating factor of this serum goes, it is pretty ordinary. I find that my skin still needs something a little more after applying this serum which is why~ I use this along with the day or night moisturisers! I docked off a few points because for a product that doesn't show much of an obvious result, it's pretty costly.

Oxygenating Light Day Moisturiser

This works alright as a moisturiser, it gets absorbed well into the skin and leaves no greasy-after feel. There were no obvious results or improvements that I could note from using this product other than the fact that it does help to moisturise my skin. As for the claim of helping makeup stay fresh longer, I think it is hard to justify that in a climate like Singapore with my combination skin but as mentioned, my skin does seem more radiant overall.

Restorative Light Night Moisturiser

Out of the 3 products, this works best with visible results in the morning. My skin looks more supple, scars look calmer and despite this moisturiser being the "thickest" out of the three~ it feels nice on the skin. It doesn't leave any greasy-after feel and it does get absorb easily into the skin. Ingredients used, does call some concern for people with sensitive skin but I have no issues with it so far and this product is the most effective out of the three.

I was really looking forward to use this product because I have been looking for a new makeup remover.  Micellar water makeup remover products have been in the market for awhile now and how these products would is essentially like soapy water without the harsh factor to breakdown the repulsion between oil and water (removing makeup).

I have been trying a bunch of  similar makeup remover in the market and while I like that they are generally gentle to the skin and blow the trumpet of "No rinsing needed", I use them mainly because they are generally gentle to the eyes and good for sensitive skin. However, they are not very effective at removing mascara.

When Crème Simon's Micellar Water Makeup Remover claims to be able to remove waterproof makeup, I was excited. So I went around and put it to the test, and yup~ This stuff works even for my waterproof mascara. However, I do need to state that it requires at least a minimum of 2 cotton pads moistened with this remover to do a clean and through job. That's not too bad when I compare this with the other leading brands in the market in terms of its makeup removal abilities. As for its value, this product ranges towards that higher range at $55 for 150ml which is quite costly...

Besides that, I love that it is free from the icky stuff like parabens but as for the claims of having a brightening and detoxifying effect, there is no significant difference for me to witness that. This makeup remover does leave my skin feeling comfortable (ie no tightness or burning sensation) but it does feel a little sticky so I prefer rinsing it off with a cleanser after removing my makeup. Double cleansing is always good after having makeup on for a long duration of time!

Dermo-Hydrating Toner Mist 

Freshen up! Our light refreshing and hydrating mist removes last traces of make-up and impurities, for a lovely clean and dewy skin without sticky after-feel. Sprayed on hair and body, it has a delightful, delicate scent.

To Use:

Toner: Spray on cotton pad to cleanse face.

Hydrating mist: Spray liberally over face, neck and body.

Set makeup: Mist face at arm's length.

I give this thumbs up for its multiple uses, and it works at providing hydration because of the ingredients in this product. However, I am not a big fan of this product. Personally, I prefer toner that consist of  simpler natural ingredients. I find that this toner takes awhile (about 5 minutes) to be absorbed into the skin completely for the after-feel to be non-sticky... which is too long a time for me. That is a big no-no for me.

That being said, this toner does work well at removing excess dirt, grime or makeup on my face and I do use this when I want a little bit more hydration going to prep my skin for a long day of makeup. I will also use this on my hair to reduce frizz and to freshen up.

Hi everyone, here is one of the reviews that I know a few people have been waiting for and it is on Crème Simon's Brightening-Detox range! I have been using these products for a minimum duration of 3 weeks to be able to analyse and bring you this review. I have split the products into different categories, and the first category that I will be addressing today is the Key Cleansing products! 

So let’s get started.

Oxygenating Forming Cleanser

The first step towards radiance, this extra-fine instant foaming cleanser lifts and removes impurities, light makeup and excess oil. Our sulfate-free formula cleanses without drying skin, with ingredients gentle for use in babycare. An indulgent oxygenating and cleansing ritual for soft, smooth and glowing skin. 

To Use:

Massage 1 - 2 pumps of soft foam onto face to remove light makeup and impurities. Rinse well. Gentle enough for daily use.

Texture: Light dense foam, slight fizzling sensation on skin as the foam dissipates.

Smell: Light sweet floral scent

I use this product with dry hands and work the product on my face after I remove my makeup with their makeup remover. With dry skin, the cleanser is not watery and it works well in removing light makeup on its own... But, I would advice everyone not to be lazy and to do the proper makeup remover step first. This cleanser should be the second step of a double cleansing routine for proper makeup removal.

Over the duration of usage, I have found that it helped in brightening my overall complexion and even witness a reduction in blemishes. What with all the medication I took for my sickness and my crazy hormones, I am quite surprised to find that my skin has cleared up quite a bit during this period.

However, it does leave my skin feeling slightly tight and in need of a little moisture after wash... so it is something to note. I have reduced my usage to just 1 pump of this cleanser to wash my face and it does help a little for this issue. Overall, I think this cleansing works well and is something to consider if you are looking for a new cleanser~

Gentle Double Exfoliation Scrub

Glow on, put your best face forward! 

This creamy gentle scrub contains 2 kinds of natural beads to refine and revitalize skin.

To Use:
Gently massage product on dampened skin before rinsing off.
Use 1-2 times a week.

Texture:  Consist of 2 different types of beads, a finer rougher beads and a softer rounded bead that will "melt away"

Scent: Light sweet floral scent

This is one of the product that I am conflicted about, because of a ingredient used. One of the beads used for this scrub is made of polyethylene which is a polymer (aka plastic) and I have read about how plastic scrub beads contribute to plastic pollution (I addressed the use of polyethylene with Crème Simon's Assistant Director in my interview here). The other form of beads are made out of Jojoba wax. Personally, I would be happy with just Jojoba beads because it is biodegradable and would be very gentle to the skin. If you were to use this scrub, you would notice that the beads left on your face after scrubbing would consist of the finer polymer beads.

With that being said, I do agree that the combination of beads does help to lift off dead skin cells and over the duration of usage I do find that my skin has cleared up significantly. I use this scrub mainly on my T-Zone and I would gently go over around my cheeks and jaw line especially on days when I have been out perspiring with sunscreen and makeup on. It is said to be specially formulated to be non-drying, but as with the cleanser, I find my skin to be a little tight after use. There are still blackheads on the T-zone but they look somehow less obvious nowadays and it also leaves my skin feeling smoother and softer after use.
